KazNU discussed the scientific heritage of Konyr Mandoki
The Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, Hungarian Turkicologist, figure Ishtuan Konyr Mandoki.
The conference “The Golden Bridge of East and West in Turkology – Konyr Mandoki!” is organized by KazNU together with the Centre for the Rapprochement of International Cultures within UNESCO.
The purpose of the event is to study the life path and spiritual heritage of the famous scientist, to promote scientific works, to consider the works of Ishtuan Konyr Mandoki in a new perspective, scientific research, as well as discussion of topical issues of Turkology.
The event of mixed (online and offline) format was attended by: Director of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan, poet Olzhas Suleimenov, member of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Darhan Kydyrali, Chairman of the Union of Writers of TURKSOY, poet Ulugbek Yesdaulet, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev. Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebaev, Vice-President of the International Turkic Academy Askhat Kesikbaev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Hungary Zhanibek Abdrashov, Deputy Director of the International Rapprochement Center Saltanat Ashimova, Acting Consul General of Hungary in Kazakhstan Imre Peter, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, historian Marat Sembi, foreign scientists, in particular Muvsumli Javid, Asel Lakhaeva, David Somfai, Turkologists.
The conference was also addressed by Turkic scholars Askhat Kesikbaev, Zhanibek Abdrashov, Saltanat Ashimova, Imre Peter, Marat Sembi, Muvsumli Javid, Asel Lakhaeva, David Somfai and others.
